Greetings and thank you for visiting my website.

My name is Chris Vecchiolla. I am a photographer specializing in women’s portraiture, beauty, and fashion images.

I lived on Miami Beach for 15 years, working 10 years as a full-time, professional photographer for US and European catalog, advertising, and model agencies. I worked extensively on-location and in-studio, with seasonal rotation between Miami Beach, Paris, and Munich.

I now live on Boston’s South Shore in Cohasset, MA.

My primary focus is women’s portrait/beauty and I provide photography services for Model Agencies, catalogs and headshots for actors and business professionals..

A photo of Chris Vecchiolla and family from the past. He has worked and traveled in many different states and countries, but now is based out of Massachusetts.

I started as an assistant photographer, based on Miami Beach, working 3 years for French, German, Italian, Spanish and Canadian fashion/catalog photographers. Location and studio work was shot in Miami, Paris, NYC, San Tropez, Nice, Provence, Lille, Cannes, Guadeloupe, Canary Islands, Tunisia, Madrid, Barcelona, Alhambra, Milan, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Haiti, St Thomas, St John, Palm Beach, Key West, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Aspen, Park City, Kennebunkport and Bar Harbor.

Thereafter I was hired by Creativ Team, a German advertising agency, as full time staff photographer, rotating between Munich (summer) and Miami Beach (fall/winter). I then worked for various catalog companies as a freelance photographer.

In Miami Beach and Paris, I also worked with model agencies (Next, Elite, Michelle Pommier, Irene Maire, etc) shooting beauty/portraits/fashion images for model portfolios and composite cards.

A film photo of Chris Vecchiolla. Now Chris uses digital photography to produce high-quality work .

I transitioned from film to digital and with the unique advantage of a very strong IT background, developed a robust, end-to-end photographic workflow to reliably produce high-quality work. I constantly test new photographic techniques and ideas in my studio for subsequent use on photoshoots.

When/where possible, to grow and learn, I’ll attend an immersive photography workshop. I’ve been fortunate to attend workshops with Magnum Photographer Alex Webb, Australian Beauty Photographer Peter Coulson, and NYC/LA Headshot Photographer Peter Hurley.

I have a personal library of 350+ photography books for continuous inspiration and appreciation of this wonderful craft.
